[She's not wrong. He follows nearly immediately because a.) it's Piper and he doesn't mind spending time with people he knows and likes and b.) like, yeah, her house is huge. It's a lot to take in and it's easier to be distracted by that than sulking further about how he was betrayed by his two favorite (and only, maybe) blondes. He's quick to keep up even as his gaze shifts over the walls and the ceiling.]

Have you ever met Annabeth? [Dryly. Oh so dryly.] I've never won an argument in my life against her. I could probably take Jason, but I'm pretty sure he already lost against her, too.

Hey, no worries! This week ended up busy for me, too. :) Also GOD I need a canon review.

[ She laughs at the "have you ever met Annabeth" bit. Maybe it's because she's so used to how things are between the two, maybe, juuuuust every once in a while she forgets how adorably owned Percy is by his girlfriend. ]

That's fair. You and Jason definitely know how to pick them. [ Still, it's not like she's without her own concerns. After all the time they'd spent questing together, it feels weird NOT going along. Yeah, there'd been plenty of "mini-quests" where they were split up. She's trying not to dwell on it herself. Jason and Annabeth are perfectly capable. ]

So how have things been with you?

[ She makes a pit stop in the kitchen first, because she's thirsty and if she remembers right Percy has a big appetite. Maybe she can also help take his mind off it with food. Though, sadly, none of it will be BLUE. ]

[There's a grin because, like, yeah. Piper and Annabeth are similar in a handful of ways the longer he thinks about it. It's the other reason he's kind of more than okay with bumming around here.

Piper's a good babysitter though since that's also definitely a worthy distraction that'll work. He's usually hungry anyway.]

Busy? In the good way, not in the "I'm probably going to get killed in five minutes" kind of way. Annabeth's been grilling me about making sure I'm taking all the classes I need to graduate and my stepdad and I are working on cleaning out one of the spare rooms in the apartment. Our place isn't as big as yours.

[...it doesn't even mean anything, it's just a thought he has. Alas.]
